    Ashish,

I had worked with Futures First as a derivatives trader. Now I am with India Infoline and am involved in Futures & Options trading. I had joined FF after engineering. I am getting some work exp now before I do an MBA.

I am interested in derivatives but I also believe in what Warren Buffet has said, "derivatives are financial weapons of mass destruction..." It's like nuclear energy, you can either produce power or destroy cities.

I am interested in getting into corporate finance and some derivatives knowledge might be helpful while working in the finance department of a non-finance company.

If, yes then please let me know can I apply for that.

    Thanks
    Ashish

Right now, there are no jobs suitable to your profile. There are some sales jobs which you won't like to do.
Even if you are not getting into a finance firm, try to get into an analytics company like Evalueserve. You can market the research and analytical skills to get the next job. Those are transferable skills and will be valued by an equity research firm.

    Re: How useful is NCFM?

For Everyone taking NCFM, the easiest way to pass the test is to go through the module material and the model test on the NCFM site, you can expect lot of question from the Model test to repeat in the actual test.
From the point of Admissions, NCFM on resume shows inclination towards Finance.
Let me know in case anyone of you have any other glaring issues.

    Re: How useful is NCFM?

From my experience, it helps to have this on the resume. It shows that you are inclined towards finance.
However some adcoms in other countries may not know about NCFM. You'll have to explain them during the interview.
